How did I manage loose almost 9 buy ins with 7 hours

How did I manage loose almost 9 buy-ins with 7 hours

I know most players will like to write about how did they win – I will do opposite this time :)

My mistakes (at least some of them)

First    Did watch PCA at the same time. Super High rollers. This game is much, much above the level  where I play (not much help for my game) and it took concentration away.

Second Did lose several hands with AA, KK and QQ straight away, Not any ''very good'' starting hands hold at this session, Hate this sentence ''good starting hands'' – did write about it before.

Third   Started to call all-ins (with reasonable hands) pre-flop. You can't do that at the first level. Pretty pointless – not many players care about 2 dollars or so – especially those who willing to go all in.
Forth   Did not protect my investment. I will try to think about the money I'm putting in game-like investment (didn't work this time) – so I lost 9 times my investment in six hours and it will take me probably longer time to win it back. Very poor thinking I had at the time
Fifth    Did play way too long for one session – first I did not want to lose session ( had a couple good ones on the row). Then I started to try to win back my money (investment) fast – all-ins. Then I did get frustrated – things did not go the way I wanted to. And last I did not care anymore. Had back close to zero couple times and just did not finish – PCA went long and probably went long part of the gambling in this game

This is mostly how did I lose 17+ dollars with a bit less than 7 hours. Don't make those mistakes and You will give Yourself a good possibility to win :)

YEAR 2017

YEAR 2017

First of all – thanks everybody who took time and looked at my blog – 915 visits and all over world.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

What did I do and how did I do?
I can say now – it was year to get know myself and realise where I am in poker.

Beginning of last year I did think about myself like reasonable good poker player who has what it takes to run through 5 levels in Pokerstars and earn bit money without changing much how I did before. (I did win sometimes I did loose sometimes – never recording my resaults much,) Wins did make me happy and some looses did not put me in tilt because it did not matter. I think most of us has surviving mechanism and we will find way to believe in ourselfs no matter how good or bad we are.
Not recording results did help me survive – I just did not know , or I did not want to know. Life was easy :)
MY MISTAKES
1) No proper bankroll management and not realistic with my skills
I did not invest in my business (started with one dollar). I did jump around Levels – sometimes level 1 (when tired about it jumped Level 3 or 2 – even four in one point). Did not have proper plan and not been realistic with my skills.
RESULTS:
LEVEL 1 (0.02 cent)
Hands 185 516 Money + 47.72
LEVEL 2 (0.05 cent)
Hands 55 552 Money – 43.82
LEVEL 3 (0.10 cent)
Hands 60 161 Money - 308.61
LEVEL 4 (0.25 cent)
Hands 355 Money + 41.40
Clearly did not beat any levels - did run around like headless puppy. Almost every online poker blog or study site will write about it. Did not believe it– bit stubborn and it did cost me year of my time and some hundred dollars of my money. This year plan where I do stick no matter what. This is my BIBLE for this year:

2) Realistic TIME needed to beat every level
Poker blogs and study sites not writing about it and I might be wrong but I will write about my experience this year. In Micro stakes – specially then You are new in CASH games or beginner in poker – It is not possible run over levels. First of all You are not able to beat levels without playing tremendeus amont of hands. EXAMPLE : To earn $64.50 (needed to move from Level 1 to Level 2)
with WR 8bb per 100 hands (every 100 hand You will play with 0.02ents games You will win avarage 0.16 cents). You will need play at least 40 000 hands +. WOW!!!! ( 40 000 /100 x 0.16) = $64.00 Keep in mind this is very good win rate and not managable at the beginning in constant basis. How long it will take to play 40 000 hand with 1,2,3 or even 4 tables? Do Your math and be realistic how many tables You are able play with win rate 8/100. IT TAKES TIME AND COMMITMENT
3) TILT
Now I can say – it happens with You for sure. Variance of poker and because You must play so many hands to beat each level. Nobody can win only if they will play so many hands and as none experienced player it will hit You hard. It took me months to get over myself. (I might not been over Yet). Breaking Yourself is hardest thing to do and loosing hands again and again and again... will put You against challenge You will not forget if You will get through it. Prepeare Youself = meditations, well spent time of the tables – whatever it will take help to recover ASAP.
4) STUDY
Think what to study and how much to study. My experience – I did good at the beginning of the year – not much over thinking. Level 1 (where You should be pretty long time) You will not need much. Players are mostly relaxed and not taking things too seriously – mostly casual players taking time of their busy life – like I was at the time. I played similar game with similar players (winning) till = I wanted to WIN. Studying and worrying about unnessesary things like red line aggression, bluffing etc. ect You should play and study at first POST FLOP game. Reason = most hands are going showdown at least flop – nobody worried about couple cents or loosing one hand. If you will beat fellow players at flop – You are giving Yourself good change to BEAT FIRST LEVEL :)

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY AND WISH (NEW) ME GOOD LUCK FOR YEAR 2018 !!
