First of all – Thanks to everybody, who had time to read this blog. Over the years we had more than 5 500 clicks.

Nobody claimed 100 days challenge win at the end of last year. Too bad :(

I guess, this challenge was a bit too ambitious for micro stakes players. It saddens me to say, that I  not completed challenge myself either. I did find out for myself, that it is almost hard to care if winnings are so little and time you put in is so long. 

Long story short – I am still here and I will try to beat my goal. (Win 5 first levels at Pokerstars).
This is now the matter of pride :) not money. I got to do it.

I'm still at level one (NL2), with blinds $0.01/0.02. 

To move on, and achieve the right to play at level 2, I will need to earn at least $120

My calculations:

It mostly is recommended, that the bankroll should be at least 40 buy-ins at every level (1 buy-in = 100 BB). I agree with that. It will give you 40 times the chance to enter and play the game. It is not that important how you will put money (40 buy-ins) into the site. You can do it with one go, or by small amounts, according to your winnings and losings. Just remember: Never put in more than you can afford and be ready to lose it, without crying out loud. :)

It's been said, that bankroll is only for winning players. Therefore,  I'm not calling it to bankroll, but 40 chances to win at every level.

LEVEL 1 = 40 buy ins = $80

LEVEL 2 = 40 buy ins = $200

After all, to move on you got to be a winning player. There is the plain truth:

Marginal winning player WR = 1,5 BB/100

100 hands = $0.03 1000 hands = $0.30 10 000 hands = $3  20 000 hands = $6

1 hour = 400 hands (Zoom 6 max, 2 tables) Expected winnings = $ 0.12 per hour

To earn $6 per day will take 20 000 hands and 50 hours (Not possible)

To earn $120, it will take at least 400 000 hands and 1000 hours.

This is almost 42 full days or 6 weeks without sleeping, eating and earning money somewhere else. 

2, 5 hours play every day/1000 hands per day will take you 400 days or 1 year, 1 month and 5 more days to earn $120. After all that, you are ready to move on and play the next level.

Winning player WR 3 BB/100

100 hands = $0.06 1000 hands = $0.60 10 000 hands = $6 20 000 hands = $12

1 hour = 400 hands expected winnings $0.24 per hour

To Earn $6 per day will take 10 000 hands and 25 hours =  (Not possible)

To earn $120, it will take at least 200 000 hands and 500 hours.

This is almost 21 full days, or 3 weeks without sleeping, eating or earning money somewhere else to afford to play the game.

2, 5 hours play every day = 1000 hands per day, will take you 200 days which is almost 7 months to earn $120. After all that, you are ready to move on and play the next level.

Good winning player WR 5 BB/100

100 hands = $0.10 1000 hands = $ 1 10 000 hands = $ 10 20 000 hands = $20

1 hour = 400 hands expected winnings $ 0.40 per hour

To Earn $5 per day will take 5000 hands 12,5 hours (Not possible)

To earn $120, it will take at least 120 000 hands and 300 hours.

This is almost 12 full days and a half or almost 2 weeks without sleeping, eating or earning money somewhere else to afford to play the game.

2, 5 hours play every day = 1000 hands per day will take you 120 days or almost 4 months to earn $120. After all that, you are ready to move on and play the next level.

Top winning player WR 8 BB/100

100 hands = $ 0.16 1000 hands = $ 1.60 10 000 hands = $16 20 000 hands = $ 32

1 hour = 400 hands expected winnings $ 2

To Earn $5 per day will take 1000 hands and 2, 5 hours (Possible)

To earn $120, it will take at least 75 000 hands and 187,5 hours.

This is almost 8 full days, without sleeping, eating or earning money somewhere else to afford to play the game.

2, 5 hours play every day = 1000 hands per day will take you 75 days or almost 2 and a half months to earn $120. After that, you are ready to move on and play the next level.

Is this doable? Is it worth?

My excuse to try it again is:

Not all days are equal. One day you might win and one day you might lose. The aim is to win of course. My aim is to win $5 per day and not to lose more than $5 per day. To earn a necessary $ 120, to move on will take up to 24 days.  I will let you know the next 4 weeks how it goes for me weekly basis. Should it be + $120 or - $120.
