Will start another try to beat first levels at Pokerstars. Play along...
This challenge will last for one month and after that, I will do another one for all readers with the price for the first one.
Plan A did not work out... (My first post on this blog)
Plan B did not work out either...
https://www.pokeryear-microcashgame.com/2019/06/plan-b-bankroll-reality.html
Now, there is my plan C
I have been writing about bankroll management and about my understanding of it. Shortly - it should be ok to start with little money and there is not much need to stuck on level 1(blinds 0.01/0.02) for too long.
First of all, it will take a long long time to earn a hundred big blinds on this level and all this effort might put you off playing at all.
For second: Money in play is so little and most (not all) players just don't care about losing it. Therefore lots of play you will be in is just about trying your/their luck out. It's not even a very good level to learn how to play, but you should learn from it mostly how to fold/not to play your marginal hands and how not to ''marry in'' your hand. For sure you will experience some tilt situations and hopefully, you will address the problem(s) it might carry you in.
All that in mind - I will start with 10 dollars. It will be 5 buy-ins at LEVEL 1.
My aim will be to play around 1000 hands per day and at least five days per week = 5000 hands per week.
With a winning rate 3/100, it will make 3 dollars per week
With a winning rate 5/100, it will make 5 dollars per week
With a winning rate 8/100, it will make 7 dollars per week
To move up to LEVEL 2 (blinds 0.02/0.05) and have 5 buy-ins ($ 25), I will need to earn additional 15 dollars. ($10 I already have from my deposit)
Doable, if I will stay in winning player status. We will see :). It might take 2 to 5 weeks.
Players at level 2 will be overly aggressive in my opinion. And many of them without good reason. I will need to stay calm and carry on. There will be no need to be aggressive at all. Many players are still trying their luck out and they will not fold with any pair or draw in their hand anyway. Most important is to use their own aggressive playstyle against themselves, if I do have something decent in my pocket. Value bet at the river will be one good move (with the reason of course) as many players at level 2 don't like fold at all and remain too passive to make their own move.
I might not need a further plan, but for any case, or if somebody who will play along with me will need it, I will move on to the next step
With a winning rate 3/100 at level 2, I will make 7.50 dollars per week
With a winning rate 5/100 at level 2, I will make 12.50 dollars per week
With a winning rate 8/100 at level 2, I will make 20 dollars per week
To move up to LEVEL 3 (blinds 0.05/0.10) and have 5 buy-ins ($ 50), I will need to earn 25 dollars more. ($25 I already have from the previous level)
Doable again, if I will stay in winning player status. It might take 1 to 3 weeks. Much less than moving up from level 1 to level 2.
Keep in mind that players at level 3 are more serious about the money they are putting in play. Most of them will have some tricks in their mind and they do not hesitate to use them on you. (slow play, not betting out with every pair at the flop, etc). You might consider having more than 5 buy-ins to play this level. Up to you.
So, PLAN C
Start with $10 at Level 1 and at least survive, or in case of losing it, deposit again during a month
move up to Level 2 with a bankroll $25. Stay there, move down with bankroll $10 to level 1and up
with $50 to Level 3
Will keep you updated about my progress during this month.
Wish me luck and if you will play along, I will wish you all the best :)
good luck!!! =)
